I Wonder

Sometimes I wonder if everyone has a conscience.

Or how some people live without one, a hazy one, or a completely shattered conscience.

I was watching Dr Phil today and it was about (probably a replay) neighbour disputes between two ladies. One who was a corrections officer (obviously lost her job after this) kidnapped the neighbour's cute dog and dropped it of 15miles away. Yet she says she was the victim as her neighbour had intentionally trained the dog to bark at her and pee on her new lamp post, though the neighbour with the dog had actually set up an electric fence between their houses just to prevent her dog from going over. That was only part of the story, but it was obvious which one had a clear conscience.

And how do you live without a clear conscience anyway?

Don't you have niggling thoughts, the 'good' and 'bad' voice in your head, the tendency to want peace and quiet up there?

What about the things you do to other people?

The wars you unknowingly created?

The hate games you played and thought you were the victim?

I don't understand these people.

And I wish I didn't know any.
