Open Your Eyes

Essential to any girl's dresser is an eye brow trimmer of some sort.

The eyes are one of the most important asset of the body, and it is essential to keep it looking neat and tidy. Eyebrow shaping and trimming opens up the eyes and is pleasant to look at. No matter what you do to your hair, face or body, if your eyebrows are bushy and long it would stand out from from the rest.
There's the conventional tweezer, which always reminds me of removing ticks from my dogs' fur when I was a young girl;

or a battery-operated eyebrow trimmer like this:
It's easy to use and painless, not to mention instant results. But a steady hand is required or you might end up with half a brow or no brow! It is a handy tool to have but not before you know how to shape your brows.

The simplest way to get the natural shape of your brows:

1. Have a white eye pencil on hand. The best colour is 10star Max Factor Prestige Waterproof Eyeliner. It's not exactly white, but a combination of white and a streak of silver.
2. Identify the three major points of your eyes and place the pencil at A, B and C with the end point being the nose. (The dotted lines below show the position of the pencil.) Draw three dots on A, B, and C - that is where the start, peak, and finish points should be. The middle points of A and C are the start and finish points of the eye as shown below.

3. Draw a stencil around your eyebrows by joining the three dots to create a frame. Note: To identify your eyebrow ridge (ie. point B), place the eyepencil to join the nose and the middle of your iris and then draw point B. There you have the highest point of your brows.

4. Use an eyebrow trimmer of your choice and start plucking/shaving. Remember to only shave around the white lines.

5. Remove stencil lines using makeup remover. If you have been using tweezers and your eyebrows sting, a solution of Witchazel or a cold towel would be handy :)

To make brows look more obvious but still natural, use Rimmel Kohl eyebrow pencil. Pick a colour two shades lighter than the colour of your hair for the most natural look. Never go for black as it would only make you look scary! Draw on the eyebrows lightly and fill in the bits where eyebrows are sparse. Smudge and blend in lightly using your small finger. Use the brush at the end and comb through the eyebrows in an upward position away from the middle of the face.

It's easier than it looks!

"...your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, therefor honour God with your body."
1 Corinthians 6:19
