A very sad realization

Welcome back.

I have been flat out lately!

Just the other day I was thinking about our place of worship. Now this can be a very controversial issue and not to mention sensitive.

I admire how temples and shrines are always looked after with pristine tidiness and careful planning. They clean it, paint it regularly, and respect their place of worship. It seems sacred, beautiful, and very acceptable. They adorn their places of worship with gold, jewels, and expensive materials.
Sadly I have not seen many Christian places of worship being as respected as those of other faiths.

We think it's someone else's job to pick up the piece of rubbish we think we saw at the corner of our eye but actually it's not really there because we just wished it away the minute we think we saw it.

How many times do we clean our toilets, throw out the rubbish, mop the floor, and make sure we have enough supplies for the week?

And how does not the same standards apply to our place of worship?

It's a sad, sad realization.

Let's do something about it!
