I can't imagine those who want to go al naturale and give birth without pain relief or any 'medical artificial' help.
The past few weeks, months and years I have been trying to psyche myself into believing it ain't that bad after all. But to no avail.
Blame it on the bread. Yep, a loaf of bread.
I was holding a fresh loaf of Tip Top Up Bread the other day and thinking 'SURELY, a newborn wouldn't be as big as this? This is humungous!!'
H is very comforting. Thanks. Know what he said?

'Of course its much bigger than that, that is only the size of half a baby or a 1.5kg baby.'
SHRIEKK!! How?!
SHRIEKK!! How?!
Yesterday a colleague told me how easy it was for her to have her baby. She described contractions as intense pressure, as if someone was rolling a rolling pin real hard on your abdomen. She said to ask for an epidural straight away.
But there are so many stories of being too late in labour and not being able to be administered an epi. Or the risks associated with epis. Or ending up having to be cut open. And by the way, how would you know what stage of labour you are in!? My colleague said she didn't even feel a drop of pain and she said it was a lovely experience. Errr...!!
How I wish I was her.
Having said all that, I can't wait to meet the little one. But with just 12 weeks or so to go, terror is inevitably mounting.
