How do you say thank you and goodbye to someone close to your heart?

How do you say goodbye to a dear friend whom you had come to know well within just a matter of a dozen months but it felt like you had known them all your life?

How do you say goodbye to the person who was your friend regardless?
How do you say goodbye to someone who wasn't afraid to open up to you and was ever-ready for you to open up to them?
How would you say goodbye to the person who gave you back faith in humanity?
How do you say goodbye to a person who showed you friendship is so much more than sharing thoughts and feelings?

How do you say goodbye to someone who pulled you through tough times and doubts?
How would you say goodbye to that someone who sometimes thinks the way you do at the same time, and does the same thing you did, so much so that it appears uncanny?

And where/how can you even begin to find the words to describe how much they have meant in your life and how much you wish they could stay just a little longer?

Because life is too short, this is another emo entry.
