To Find the Words

Dearest Mummy,
Firstly, Happy Mother's Day! I hope your day was enjoyable. I wish I was there to celebrate it with you, but then again like you always say, everyday should be like Mother's Day anyway...

Now, to find the words to express all that you are and all that you've done,

Thank you for every single day and minute of my life, thank you for all the love you have showered me with all these years. It was worth it, wasn't it! I know sometimes I can be like:


Thank you for putting up with the bad and encouraging the good;
Thank you for always being there for me, for wiping my tears and catching me when I fall;
Thank you for showing me who I can be and who I am in Christ,
And thank you for being my sunshine in the rain.

Thank you for showing me my first love,


Thank you for cheeky genes,


And wonderful times,
Thank you for so much, for all that you are and all those years of sacrifice, selfless love, and guidance. I can't find a word powerful enough to thank you and to let you know how I feel, but I know if I were to even attempt to describe my gratitude and love for you it would take more than a million years!
